We believe that a pub should always be a pub not a restaurant and we therefore offer traditional favourites such as Ham, Egg and Chips and freshly battered Fish and Chips using our own ales, alongside more adventurous predominantly British cuisine and homemade puddings. For an inland pub we have a strong reputation for fish which features on our daily specials list and our main menu changes regularly with the seasons.  

We use local suppliers for the majority of our produce and support smaller, family owned businesses wherever possible, and we have a productive garden producing fruit, herbs and vegetables for our chefs to utilise in the menu. 

We are open daily for breakfast from 8am until 11.00am for non residents, guests staying with us can start a little earlier at 7.30am, and we offer a sumptuous menu including a traditional full English breakfast, Eggs Benedict and American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. If you are wishing to leave earlier or prefer breakfast in your room we are happy to provide a breakfast tray the night before. Please click on the link to see our full menu.

On Sundays we offer a traditional roast with at least 3 choices; roast beef accompanied by Yorkshire pudding, half a farm assured roast chicken with apricot stuffing, free range pork loin with crackling and apple dumpling as well as our usual Lunchtime Favourites, Pub Favourites and other a la carte dishes. Roast venison, wild boar and lamb are sometimes also available.
